Issy Y for Orphan Girls
BOOK 1
Around the ages of 10-14
They are all orphans just like Marla, though they all tend to bully her or others around them. Most of them only have a few lines, some as little as one-three. Most likely will double cast anyone who plays an orphan. There’s also a few extra unnamed background voices that can be given to any of them.
You do NOT need to audition for all the orphans and can instead just audition for one or two of them.
Kayla - has only one line, but clearly is a gossip
"Did you hear what Billy said?"
Jessica - acts very sweet around adults but was quite sour and judgmental, ringleader of the bullies ~has about 10 lines
”Billy saw a monster. Or at least that’s what I heard he said from Johnny.”
(demanding) “What’s this?”
“Is this from all of Billy’s monster nonsense?”
“How does it feel to be wasting trees and our precious air, freak?”
(snooty) “Come on. Lunch is about to start.”
Okay so I have no idea how I did that (Kayla's audition) but I did somehow... as you can tell from Jessica and Tina's audition that I do NOT sound like that at all. I mean, I would sound like that if I could choose, but what I'm trying to say is- please don't cast me for Kayla just because I sound like that, I don't really...
