Shineko, or Neko for short, represents death. She is a sadistic stuffed cat who enjoys seeing the suffering of the students. She and Inu watch over and manage trials, making sure that nobody gets too rowdy or out-of-line. She works as basically the despair side of Monokuma, making the students want to slaughter one another.

  • "You met my boring big brother. I'm Shineko: the kitten who's gonna make your life a little more fun."

  • (Triumphantly) "On your knees, peasant! Bow to the greatest and cutest kitty!"

  • (Demanding) "Shush, I've made the game much more playable and you know it!" (Coyly) "Don't be jelly."
