Project Overview
NOTICE: This is a realistic and dark and gritty audio drama serial that features mature 24+ characters with 24+ content including sexual scenes, use of alcohol and drugs, adult language, violence and intense dramatic performances. Please do not audition if you are uncomfortable with any of these things.
We produce audio dramas under the banner of FICTION FOR ADULTS (www.fictionforadults.com) This project is for Wolfe Brothers Saga. It is an epic family drama that includes mystery, thriller, a touch of paranormal (but not really), and a significant level of romance.
THE WOLFE BROTHERS SAGA
Wolfe Brothers Saga follows the lives of three men, two of which are brothers (Cam and Ajay), the third is a stepbrother (Jags), Cam and Ajay's mother married Jags father. And so thus begins the drama and hijinks. In the small town of Cut n' Shoot, Texas, where the brothers live, roams a serial killer/rapist who may have a dark obession with the Wolfe Brothers and their loved ones.
There are some significantly dark moments along with some significantly detailed sex scenes that might not be suitable for some.
The finished project will be published as an ongoing serial audio drama podcast then it will be ported to audiobook format post-volume runs on the podcast as one complete audiobook. This project and all other Fiction For Adult projects WILL see the light of day thus your performance will indeed be heard by the masses.
Discord will be necessary and provided to all cast members.
Documents will be provided to all actors to aid in immersing them into their role and the overall series for a better, deeper production.

Ajay is one of the Lead Wolfe Brothers. We are ready for his recordings ASAP.
Ajay is former military and an ex-mercenary with a fit physique that is highly attractive to women. Yet, his odious personality can render some turned-off and offended. A poonhound woman-chaser who obsesses over sex more than a frat boy. He’s a homophobe in all the classic sense. Though a former combat medic with basic medical training Ajay can be dense and halfwitted at times and considered the most blockheaded of the three Wolfe brothers.
He has a semi-deep voice with an often conceited self-assured tone.

"I promise you. There is not good in everyone. You've barely seen the sun in your nineteen years. There is a hell and I've been there for the last six years. I know what the fuck I'm talking about."
He didn’t beg, plead and whine. He simply asked a woman if she’d like to fuck. Typical responses were: Yes; No; Or a slap in the face or the occasional knee to the groin. Regardless, he never asked twice. He had a dozen fuck buddies. Maybe more. He lost count. Getting laid was never a problem. Maybe that was the problem. He’d gone too long without pussy. After all, it’d been a week since he’d been inside a woman.
"I'm going to be honest with you and pray it doesn't scare you away. I've had lots and lots of flirtatious and sexy and frankly I'm tiring of it. And plain and young are not the words that come to mind when I think of you, closer to sweet and pretty."
Cam is a somewhat disturbed individual. He struggles with his sanity and rage on a constant basis. Much of it stems from his abusive childhood and rage against his abusive, alcoholic father. After almost killing a man in a jealous rage, and doing time in Huntsville State Prison, he has vowed a life of isolation (to the point of vowing celibacy). He has no patience for drama, trivial bullshit. Not big on talking, socializing, etc... in a nut shell, dark and brooding. But contrary to the dark side of him, he believes in hard lines of morality. Killing is wrong, no matter what, which is why he isolates himself so completely. Does not want to put himself in a situation where he might do something he'll regret. He avoids any situation where strong emotions might make him do something he would regret. When it comes to relationships, he loves deeply, which is another reason he is celibate. His morals regarding women are just as rigid. He doesn't make love until he actually is in love. Not a believer in casual sex, major understatement. If he wants to fuck a woman, then he's already in deep, so to speak.
At the same time, Cam does not come from money. He's unapolagetically low rent. And although he is a bit of a romantic on the inside, on the outside he comes off more brutish and crass. He says what he means and means what he says. And he says "fuck" a lot.
A few other things: he's a foodie and opens his own restaurant; he is his stepgrandfather's major caretaker, and has a general longing to take care of others, anybody he cares for such as his brothers. Although his stepfather is still in the picture, now that his stepfather's wife and his stepfather's mother are missing, he spends much time abroad, volunteering in disaster areas around the world. So Cam is the patriarch of the family.
Unless his dialog in punctuated with an exclamation point or followed by some context, such as a dialog tag stating, "he groaned, he muttered, he growled" and the such then assume his dialog should be read in a matter-of-fact tone.

“You go near that woman, I’ll beat the fuck out of you.” [as one that means what he says and hates drama, he says this matter-of-factly, but conveys a definite threat.
"The crazy, raunchy, piece of shit, sicko, waste of oxygen, fuck you won't let me kill?"
Fury and frustration at being unable to help his brother had hurled Cam into a dark place where only he and his subconscious existed. His anger festered in silence, until his mother remarried and he met his stepbrother Jags, the goofiest son of a bitch he’d ever known.
Some part of Cam still lived in that dark place and probably always would. But Jags’ relentless jovial spirit and good-nature had nudged him from that darkness. And now that he had Maggie, he was closer to the light than he ever thought possible.
Jags is the most eccentric and quirky of the three brothers and also the most overly friendly but he’s also the deadliest as an expert martial artist, yet he’s a devout pacifist. Overly friendly and jovial but he's also candid, never one to mince his words. Imagine Jesus from The Walking Dead as a frame of reference if needed.
Yet, Jag's most unique feature is that he posses the psychic gift of empathy which allows him through means of physical touch to gain glimpses into people's true nature and possible futures.
Jags' real name is David but he goes by Jags after his favorite sports team the Jacksonville Jaguars.
During certain situations Jags can manifest a 'dark Jags' side of his psyche that does go by David. David is sleazier, ruder and has no qualms about resorting to violence. Fortunately, these incidents are rare.
His voice is light and harmonious, charged yet serene. He doesn't beat around the bush so often speaks candid. He's well-known for his overly friendly persona, frequently striking up conversations with complete strangers and knowing their entire family history before the conversation is over. When he becomes 'dark Jags' (David) his voice becomes smokier/harsher with a conniving edge.

[9:14 AM]For the first time in a long time, Jags felt overwhelmed. Strolling to the front door of the large two story brick colonial, he wondered what he had to offer a woman like Star. She lived in this uppity neighborhood where nobody was allowed to have a mailbox; they had to get a post office box. Every lawn was freshly mowed, every shrub trimmed and sculpted. Most had their vehicles parked in their garage as opposed to disassembled and spread across their back yard. His first impression of Star may have been correct after all. Not only was she a snob, but rightly so. She was out of his league.
Maggie is the mayor's daughter and though a privileged socialite she’s more rough and tumble, white trash from money with a self-destructive danger-seeking addiction. Bad boys are her biggest downfall, the badder the better. This living-on-the-edge stems from the fact that she was gang raped as a teenager by members of a rival high school football team and has become promiscuous as a means to re-live that moment in her life but with her in full control thus making her a venomous heart breaker. She’s sultry and self-confident, witty and if pissed she’s a bitch to be reckoned with.
Maggie's character has a dark past featuring a heinous gang rape by members of a rival high school football team. Only audition for her role if the theme of rape/sexual assault is not triggering.

Star is a reserved young woman who is concerned with proper social behavior and expected nicities. She is also an engineer and currently being courted by Jags Wolfe, whom is the complete opposite of her persona being a free spirited and quirky guy with no real interest in 'fitting a mold'. Along with Maggie and Emily she is one of the 3 Wolfe Women, or main Female Leads.
She and her sister Tilly are the children of free-spirited hippie parents. Star hated living on the fringes of society, being dressed different than other kids, celebrating holidays differently or not at all, etc.. and thus grew up to resent and despise the ideaologies of her parents and childhood uprbringing..
As an adult, she strives to live a life that follows the norms of main-stream society. She wants to blend. Star has been known to comment on others appearance and make quick and harsh judgments.
She's subconsciously jealous of their ability to not care what anyone thinks and own who they are. Her love interest, Jags, is quite the opposite. He loves the lime light and is anything but "normal". She helps him blend better in society and
he helps her not to give a flying fuck what others think. Makes for interesting fodder. :)

Star wanted everything to be perfect for her best friend’s bachelorette party. She cooked and cleaned all day. Not of a speck of dust to be found anywhere in her two story colonial home. All the guests had arrived. And all would be right with the world if she could just find the damn gold rimmed bowl she inherited from her dead grandmother.
Star’s best friend had survived an ordeal that she couldn’t even begin to comprehend, an unfathomable brutal violence, violence that would turn most women into meek, frightened souls who jumped at their own shadow. That was how Star would’ve reacted anyway.
But not Maggie. Not her best friend. Maggie was strong, self-confident and proud. The woman should be idolized, not mocked.
“I’m mad at Tye. I shouldn’t have taken it out on you.”
context: Maggie (her friend) made a snide remark about Star's fiance not being faithful, and in return Star made an insensitive remark regarding Maggie's soon-to-be husband-Cam. In the end, Star knows Maggie's right about her fiance being unfaithful and undeserving and regrets the remark she made about Cam.
Emily is the youngest of the three Wolfe Women at only 19. She's suffered from a chronic heart condition her entire life which has only added to her naivete as being overly protected by her older brother Nate McKenzie and father Sean.
A fangirl of the original Star Wars trilogy who often quotes the movies.
Only recently has her heart problems bettered (enough for her to start working). Much of her life has been spent in a hospital. Now that she's healthy and feeling good, she is determined to live life fully, not taking anything too serious. She's had enough "serious" to last ten lifetimes.
Unfortunately, Ajay (her love interest) is a very serious person which causes some friction for the couple.
Though Emily is naive, cute and playful she is also one of the more tragic main characters who endures a lot of dark and nasty ordeals, including being a victim of a violent assault and later suffering severe medical complications due to her chronic heart condition. Please be aware of this fact before auditioning for her role.

At first glance, she appears as a doormat for her husband, but Tilly is very intelligent and logical, she plays her husband like a fine-tuned instrument. Her weapon of choice: passive aggressiveness.
Tilly married her high school sweetheart. Their mutual interest in the medical field brought them together. But Nate (her husband) is not an easy man to deal with. He is controlling, sometimes to the point of condescension. But Tilly is one of those rare personalities that can let shit roll off her back and never let it smear. But ever since they lost their infant son only weeks ago, Nate's overbearing behavior has become too much and is beginning to break her resolve. The shit is staining and leaving quite a stain.
The voice actor cast for this role will also be responsible for the role of Extra "Waitress #1". The script is listed in the audition lines. Just leave your recording for the Extra as an audition and that will be used for the final product.

She considered whether he would resent her taking over the reading but decided to chance his anger. They couldn’t idle through the rest of their life. The gas pedal would have to be pressed eventually. No time like the present, because idling was just not in her nature.

Bree is the adoptive daughter of Cam and Maggie. She's adored by all the brothers. In a later volume of this series, her part in the story will grow. Randomly, she develops a fascination for the Doors, more particularly, Jim Morrison.

Real super nice guy, nobody would ever suspect, most see him as somewhat shy and not very sociable, but still a guy-next-door type.
Rane Voight, aka The Cupcake Killer, is a deranged sociopathic serial killer and rapist. He is the major arc villain of the first four volumes of the series. He is a devious yet strategic killer driven by vengeance with a person grudge against Ajay Wolfe and anyone close to Ajay. He gained his moniker as The Cupcake Killer due to leaving fresh cupcakes at the scene where he abducts his victims.
Notice: This is a mini but complete biography of Rane’s character arc that stretches across 4 complete novels. If you are cast for the part of Rane a producer will help you navigate which spot on the timeline is most relevant but this biography is intended to give the actor the big picture of the character.
As a teenager, Rane was one of the victim’s of the schoolyard gang The Hellpack led by Ajay Wolfe. Rane’s mother was sick and bedriiden at the time and one evening he was accosted by The Hellpack and was waylaid from getting home; once he got home he discovered his mother had died and he hadn’t been there to say his final goodbye. This changed Rane’s demeanor and psyche forever.
Later, in high school, he led a pack of boys in the brutal gang rape of Maggie Stewart.
Though Maggie was his first victim it was this heinous act that fueled Rane’s obsession with rape and violence and he would go on to formulate a plan of vengeance against Ajay Wolfe by seeking out anyone whom Ajay had ever cared for.
Rane would grow up to acquire a position as a computer systems analyst for Chase Industries. It is revealed in Volumes 5-7 that Rane was gathering sensitive data from the Chase Industries computer systems to sell to his estranged corporate mongul father Stoney Jameson in order to fly the coop from Cut And Shoot and go into hiding.
Like Jags Wolfe, Rane is an adept martial artist and a physical fit contender to any of the Wolfe brothers.
His best friend is the equally despicable Kip Vicor.

Voice Notes:Cunning, clever and self-admiring. This guy is crazy but he’s got his shit together for the most part, a socioath with no empathy for life or others feelings.
*As a child/kid his mother often gifted Rane with copious amounts of sweets but cupcakes were the signature one. As a serial killer/rapist he frequently leaves a cupcake at the scene when abducting his victims.
*Rane killed Cameron and Ajay Wolfe’s mother and Jag’s grandmother prior to the events of Volume 1 but the cause of their deaths is still unknown to the main cast.

After his mother died, Rane joined the football team and thought his days of being beat on were numbered but he was fat and clumsy and struggled to keep up with the other players. Then a fellow football player introduced him to steroids and the occasional bout of cocaine. For the first time in his life, Rane felt no fear, only rage.
“Meet me at Reds. We’re going huntin'.”
context: After a bad encounter with Ajay (one of the Wolfe brothers) he's itching for a fight and tells his sidekick Kip that they're gonna go after another prey at Red's, a bar outside of Cut And Shoot.)

Josie is one of Ajay's fuck buddies. this is a very small role

context: at closing of the restaurant, Jags asked Emily to take out the trash, but Josie lets him know that that is her side work.
Kara is one of Ajay's fuck buddies. She is a cocktail waitress at Critter's, a local hangout bar.
"I heard you’re home for good this time.”
context: in response to Ajay's flirting at a bar
"What's your problem?"
context: Ajay is trying to fuck her but can't keep it up. She says this line when he abruptly pulls his limp dick from her.
“W-w-what?”
context: Ajay has just asked her if she wants to fuck. She's a little put off by the frankness of his advance but is conflicted because Ajay is epic at sex and she could definitely use a good time.

context: this is when Gail first meets Ajay. Her husband (Emily's father) is being rude to Ajay (thinks he's too old for his daughter). Gail ignores her husbands rude remarks and makes this effort to be civil on behalf of both her and her husband.

John Stewart is the three-term serving mayor of Cut And Shoot, Texas and a former Houston lawyer. He is also the father of female lead Maggie Stewart. He's an easy-going Texan southern family man. Mostly a supporting character who often engages in scenes with Maggie. Though a strong-willed and assertive man he's somewhat self-aware that he's too lenient with his daughter Maggie to the point of being wrapped around her little finger, often seen by the way he gives her money and favors with the simplest of pleas from Maggie.

“I don’t suppose I could get you to eat this? I understand your desire to be thin—I really do—but lately you’ve been looking pale. Pale might not be the right word, sickly is probably the word I’m looking for. And you look sick as a dog, sweetheart. And you’ve lost weight which I didn’t think was even possible.”
Sage Moreau has always been an ambitious intellect but also wild at heart. In her youth she was into rock'n'rollk, goth and punk music, dressed in black and even worked at a goth nightclub yet she was an over-achieving college student who wrote a ground breaking dissertation on how cyber-technology would revolutionize moder industries within the 21st century -- and she wrote this prophetic paper in the early 90s. She would later become an employee of Zeke Chase who'd just begun his industrial manufacturing company in California, working as his personal assistant right beside him in a backroom in a rundown warehouse. Sage would be instrumental in aiding Zeke in propelling his company to a multi-billion dollar tech-giant and the two would eventually marry making her Sage Moreau Chase.
In contemporary cannon, she is still the wife of Zeke Chase. Not only is she one of the major PRs for the company but she's also a major intellectual power behind the scenes, often keeping her eccentric but ambitious husband on track regarding the company.
She's strong-willed, indepdent and candid. Though she now lives in small town Cut And Shoot, Texas she still maintains a lot of her fast-paced and edgy Californian vibes.
Though a highly intelligent and sophisticated woman she also still retains some of her punk-esque traits. Her favorite novel of all time is William Gibson's Neuromancer; she still wears lots of black; and she can be a total cold-hearted bitch.
Sage & Zeke have their own spin-off miniseries which will be an upcoming project and we would encourage anyone who auditions for her part to be willing to reprise her as a main Lead for that story.
Think subtle goth/punk version of Merilyn Monroe who's highly artistic in self-expression but also legitimately highly intelligent as well.

Doug Wolfe is a supporting character and the biological father of Jags Wolfe and step-father to Cameron and Ajay who adopted his surname Wolfe after their mother Carol and him married.
Cam and Ajay took his surname to distance themselves from Tony, their abusive alcoholic father. Thus, forever becoming the WOLFE family.
Jag's describing Doug (his dad):
Jags had given his father little to fret over, but Cam and Ajay . . . not so much. To make matters worse, Dad could be quite dramatic, overreacting to situations most would find mundane and ordinary.
Doug is a peaceful and overly emotional adult male. He cries at weddings and funerals. And like his son, Jags, he is frank and candid, often saying what he's thinking.. After his wife Carol and mother Irene’s mysterious disappearance he takes to traveling aborad in the Peace Corps.
[An urgent message Doug leaves on Jag's phone.]
"Jags! You need to come over right now! I think Cam is in trouble."[Soon as Doug sees Jags when he arrives at Doug's house after the urgent message.]
“Oh! Thank the Maker you’re here.”[After Jags' listens to the worrisome message Cam left on Doug's phone wherein Cam implied he's gone off to do something stupid, like commit suicide.]
When were you planning on informing me you had a lady friend?”
“I know he’s got a head start . . . But you can find him, right?”
[A more candid line he delivers to Jags when he learns his son is seriously involved with Star]
[9:43 PM]Darn, how long has it been since you’ve been with a woman? I was about to suggest you see a doctor. But apparently all your body parts are working fine, otherwise how could you get such a beautiful young woman.”
[9:44 PM]“When you come up for air, give me a call. We need to talk.”
