[Splatoon GMod] The Tormented 0 - New Beginnings

Project Overview

This is a casting call for an upcoming entry for The Tormented 0 - New Beginnings! In this project, two Octolings named Ura and Antim have left the clutches of The Octarian Menace after the fabled event that took place within Octo Valley - where the Octarians were awestruck by the Squid Sister's performance of Calamari Inkantation. After this, various Octarians have been living among the Inklings in harmony. Ura and Antim, however, did not leave without the knowledge of their prior work - as an Octarian organization hunts them down to cut loose ends. Will they live to see the rest of their New Beginnings?

As of right now, there are only two roles to audition for: Ura and Antim, but more will be added in due time as more progress with the script is made. 

Requirements:

- Have a decent microphone

- Put yourself in the character's shoes. I'll help you along the way if you need it.

- Have a voice that best suits the characters. Not saying there's people with bad voices - not at all! But if there's a character that has a certain tone and you can't quite pull it off, it might not work out. However, if I think there's still potential, I'll keep you in mind for other projects in the future! So in the end, everyone wins!

  • Roles Decided! - Casting Call Closed Indefinitely

    And that's a wrap folks! (For now, potentially) There were quite a few auditions since this casting call started, and each one had some pretty unique takes on the characters. Some of them were really good that I've taken them into consideration for future projects. However, as good as a lot of people did, only one can be decided for each role. It was honestly a bit tricky deciding what I felt was the best pick for each character - but after enough consideration, I'm able to make my pick. For Ura, the role will go to Sebastian Adame! And for Antim, the role will go to samgrace! Thanks to everyone for their auditions for the Casting Call! As of now, the project will now be indefinitely closed until further notice - because this project is still in an early phase, I haven't yet decided whether or not there will be any other new characters aside from the main two. But if I ever add new characters if they're needed, I'll be sure to let you all know and re-open the project - that way you can have another go!   • 1st Deadline!

    Hi everyone! Sorry it's taken me so long to look back at this casting call - working on "An Uncanny Showdown of Compulsion" and "The Tormented Part 4" has left me completely drained of energy, and I've mostly been spending the past month recuperating. However, I've taken the time to check out all the auditions posted thus far - and I have to say that I'm impressed with what I've seen! With that said, the first deadline for the casting call will be on July 12th - 2 weeks from today. Within that time, anyone that still wants to get auditions in will have some time to do so. Now despite this being the "first" deadline, I still haven't determined if there will be any other new characters in this project. If anything does change, I'll let you all know. 'Til then, best of luck to everyone!

Very expressive - slightly deep tone in regular circumstances, but also increased tone in other scenarios (joking, danger, intense)

Higher pitched tones not completely recommended for casual dialogue - at least have an average tone. As expressive as Ura, changing tones depending on situation.

  • [slightly scared] It has to be the Doctor! I knew something was off about that Inkling she wanted us to interrogate! Now she thinks we know too much!
