INTRODUCTION
Hello! This is a casting for a brand new virtual idol group I am creating: R4B1D! I will be managing, producing, and participating in the group as a member. (With YOUR help! Hopefully ^^;;) The feel for the songs will be a mix of jpop, jrock, hyperpop, kpop, vaporwave, pop, trap, rap, and a lot more! We're looking to have a good variety in each of our songs. If you're interested in any of these, and or are experienced in producing/composing/singing, feel free to audition! We're hoping for at least 3 more members (but more can be casted depending on the amount of auditions we receive!)
GENERAL BACKGROUND
While the backstory of the characters are in development, as they will be made once casted, here's the general idea of R4B1D!'s formation...
Each girl/boy/pal has been cursed with a lifelong sentence of fighting evil entities and defending their planet! They have a signature animal which correlates with their abilities & personalities. The only way to defeat the evil? Why, singing, of course! These magical girls/boys/pals will come together, with Himiko’s assistance, and form - what may look like a cute idol group on the outside - a team of strong fighters to banish evil from the world! Follow their adventures as they repeat this endless cycle of fighting monsters with their beautiful voices!
REQUIREMENTS
- The age requirement is 13-17 for singers, and 13+ for producers, composers, etc. This is because I am a minor, and don’t particularly want to be working with anyone 25+. Personal preference. Sorry if this discouraging!
- We will be communicating through DISCORD and email. Recordings can be submitted at either place, but I would prefer if DISCORD was used. If the recording is too large for both DISCORD and EMAIL, we can figure something else out. (EX. SOUNDCLOUD, YOUTUBE, or WETRANSFER.)
- Deadlines will be pretty flexible, so if anything comes just be sure to let me know beforehand!
- No phone/computer microphones! Please use a USB microphone or better, as audio quality is very important here. I, myself, am using a USB microphone, so I won’t be too picky about this. But I do request that the audio quality is average or better. Thank you for understanding!
- Please be dedicated to this project, as it will be lasting for a while! We are hoping to make profit from this, which will be evenly distributed among the staff.
- Try to submit recordings with little to no background noise. anything that can be fixed in editing will be alright, but try to get the cleanest audio possible! (This goes for auditions and onwards.)
- You will have to be able to portray the character you help create, so this means voice acting along with singing.
- Don’t add any effects to your auditions, as I’d like to hear your voice as is.
- Try to be active with our group/server, as we’re trying to make connections & friends here!
- Last, but not least, have fun! We’re all just trying to do what we love. ^^

Once you are casted, please keep in mind that things will be moving at a steady pace, as I'm also balancing school and other work along with managing this group, same as yourself! Please be patient with me, as I'll be trying my best! Thanks for reading the description all the way through ^^!

One of the singers in the group. Although there won't REALLY be defining roles, certain members will have more parts in certain songs (such as their solos, which makes sense) to sing to show off your skills.
NOTE: You will help me construct a character for you to portray. This will include but is not limited to: Creating a signature outfit, signature hair etc., personality, and whatever else I missed. The character will receive concept art, a solo song, a banner/wallpaper, and a reference sheet. More art/art related things will be designed for the character in the future. If you already have a character you've made, or an idea, in mind, try to get it down onto paper and I will illustrate it.
Introduce yourself in Japanese & English!
Ex: "Kon'nichiwa! Watashi no namae wa ____ desu! Hajimemashite!"
OR, "こにきわ！わたしのなまえわ____です！はじめまして！"
Ex: "Hi! My name is ___. It's nice to meet you!"
(and anything else of the sort. i encourage you to switch up the lines and make your own introduction if you're up to it!)
Sing a minimum of 15 seconds of any Japanese song you choose. I want to hear what vocal range you're most comfortable in, so sing a song that reflects that! I also would love to hear good pronunciation, although this can be improved once casted and is not completely mandatory.

You'll basically be my right hand man! You'll be helping make the songs, making sure everything runs smoothly with the deadlines, promoting the music, assisting with visuals, etc. etc.

You will be helping me write lyrics to our songs! This will be an on and off job, but is nonetheless pretty significant. For this role, submit any song(s) you've written and just show me you can write songs in different genres. That's pretty much it.

Optional role, but it would be nice to have someone helping us mix the music! If no one applies, I will be doing this myself. Same goes for the other extra roles.

We will be needing somebody who knows fluent Japanese and can assist me in translating our lyrics from EN>JP. For this, demonstrate that you're fluent in JP, either speaking, writing, etc. or send me an example of your translations! (This role is pretty important! I'd like to have at least one extra person helping me translate.)
