Project Overview
Parallax Memory is an indie 3D animation project short-film web series that will incorporate multiple characters and story formats. Several scripts have been written.
Project Synopsis:
Parallax;Memory revolves around a group of people who encounter a strange, otherworldly app that is installed on their phone. When activated, usually by accident, the individuals switch places and through the course of the series learn about the various secrets they are keeping from others/are being kept from them. The studious, down to earth Kira Amano is terrified of going outside, the energetic Kirie is desperate to atone for a past mistake that ruined her friendship, Kuno is a handsome lech who is trying to move on with his life after not getting into university. There is a younger sister who is coping with the death of her best friend, a couple of psycho girls who want to escape to an easier life, a "prince" of a man who believes he is the centre of everyone's life and a couple of scientists trying to rebuild the world in the future. These few individuals make up but a small amount of the characters in the series.

Voice over for the series is needed before I can begin animating scenes, hence why this Casting Call exists. The series features a lot of characters, some of them play bigger parts later on, but for now I only plan to focus on the first chapter. Prices for characters are usually calculated based on how much screen time they have. Some characters do not have prices.
This will hopefully be a long term project, though characters may not show up until much further along the line. Please make sure you are committed before auditioning.

Audition Requirements:
When you audition, try to send in multiple takes playing with different voices. This is optional, but as with the lottery, playing more increases your odds of winning in the end.
Note that there are more than just two audition lines for some characters. If you decide to audition for them, please record ALL the audition lines as I selected them to show different moods of the characters and this will make casting much easier.
Mic Quality: Good quality - and fully functioning. No static, background noise or clutter.

(M, late teens) Studious and polite. Kira is trying to rebuild his life after being assaulted in the streets. He has since developed an anxiety of crowds and being touched. Prior to the series he confessed his feelings to Kirie, but was rejected.
I didn't say anything before because I didn't want you to worry about me. I didn't want someone else to see me as a victim.
You do realize I got stabbed right? With an actual knife.
You want me as your Wingman? Why? You already have the most adorable, the police-will-kick-down-your-door-and-arrest-you girlfriend on the planet. Besides, you’ll get like ten seconds of face time tops.
(F, late teens) Kirie’s best friend. Approaches life from a logical viewpoint but isn’t afraid to tease and call Kirie out on her shenanigans. Kyoko struggles to make peace with the fact that her terminally-ill father doesn’t have long left

It's beyond strange. Parallax has no program code. It takes up zero space on your phone. It doesn’t show up in your app list, it can’t be uninstalled and the menu text corresponds to no known character in any language or semiotics.
(M, late teens) A down to earth, often perverted young man with a playboy attitude. Is currently at odds with his parents and himself over not being accepted into university.
I hate people like him. They go around acting like they own the place, like it’s some sort of achievement they’re in control when they didn’t do shit to earn it.

(M, late teens) An elitist boy with a sharp intellect but an arrogant attitude. He is infatuated with someone and angered by the fact they are interested in someone he deems inferior.
I have eyes. I can see. Though even with my intellect I cannot for the life of me work out how such an esteemed establishment such as this managed to put up with you day after day.
Always need to have the last say, don’t you Kuno? At least one saving grace moving forward is I don’t have to waste my time listening to you every day. Or maybe I’m wrong. Please enlighten us Kuno. Tell us which university made the fatal error of allowing you into their hallowed halls? None? Colleges then? Nobody home either? You’re joking? Heaven forefend. Nobody wants you in their ranks? (F, late teens) A discipled young woman who used to be Student Council President. She is always scolding Kuno for his antics and often the victim of his perversion. Inside she is depressed and annoyed with her life. She is battling with her family over the course of her future and risks alienating them if she doesn't comply.
Ugh! You are such an animal! Remove yourself from this area or I will have no choice but to report youto the disciplinary committee

(F, late teens) Kira’s sister. She idolizes her brother, but worries for his safety ever since an attack that left him hospitalized.

She was my best friend. I should've noticed something wasn't right with her. I should've paid more attention. Maybe if I did, Aki would still be...

(F, late teens) Looks and sounds younger than she is. Harbors a strange crush on Kuno and isn't aware of how uncomfortable her boundness energy and excitement makes him feel.

(F, late 30s) Kirie’s manager at the modelling agency. She comes across as blunt with no patience for the antics of the models she manages.
