I'm directing a book trailer for a contemporary romance novel and would be in need of two actors to fill the roles of the two main protagonists.
BASIC INFO:
> The novel is about two people who fall in love by talking to each other in an online chatroom, it's a slice of life that follows their every day romantic life.
> The script will be around 1-2 pages long. It's basically a phone call between the two main characters.
> You must be over 18 to audition.
> Preference for higher quality microphones/no background noise.
> Once cast, a turnaround time of 3 weeks max. would be set.
> By auditioning, you agree that if you are cast, you allow your lines to be used commercially for an indefinite amount of time.
> Both actors will be paid 40$ through Paypal, once their final lines are delivered. (Willing to send over 50% of the payment first upon reservation, and the second half after, upon completion, if needed.)
Please don't audition if the following things make you uncomfortable:
> The trailer will contain romantic/sexual undertones.
> The novel is a gay romance. One of the protagonists is transgender.
> The novel also deals with heavier themes, like depression, loneliness, and transphobia.
> Although the trailer will not have any NSFW scenes, the book does, so if being associated with this makes you uncomfortable, please don't audition.

Alexander is a character who tends to sound very fancy/posh, I'm leaning more toward casting him with an English accent, but other accents are fine too. He's also a transgender man who has not physically transitioned, therefore, an androgynous or higher pitched voice would be preferred!

(Amused): Well, it depends: what exactly is it that's going through that lovely little head of yours?
(Teasing/playful): It's quite late, darling. Are you being naughty? Is that why you've called me?
(Suddenly more serious): I jest, David. Go on.
(Alexander laughs once) How could I forget? You sent me a dozen texts about lemons. (He laughs again.) Who even does that?
(Alexander sighs, then mutters to himself): I love you, too, you clumsy fool.
David is a rather shy young man, he sounds a bit rougher/less polite than Alexander, and has a laid-back personality. He's generally an awkward character, with a medium to low range. I'm leaning more toward casting him with an American accent, but other accents are fine too.

(Said really fast): Okay-I-love-you bye!
(Chuckles. More relaxed): Nah, come on, dude, we're not that interesting—I mean, really, who would want to read about two depressed dorks exchanging dirty texts online?
