Project Overview
Welcome to 'Neon Skies', a brand new, virtual, vaporwave/synthwave/techno/pop-punk idol group!
We are in desperate need of composers, mixers, vocalists, artists, lyricists and writers for the audio series that is in the works. Please find information about the group and how to audition below. Many thanks for looking!
What is Neon Skies?
Glad you asked! Neon Skies is a story and an idol group, mainly focused on the vaporwave aesthetic. We will be producing mainly rock/pop-punk/techno/synthwave music. Our goal is to tell a lovely, inspiring story about people defying the odds and defeating their hardships while warming people’s hearts with the tales of their friendship.
The story follows 6 teenagers reincarnated after being murdered, finding each other once more in their new life. They discover that they were actually the murder victims and are hell-bent on revealing who their murderer is, as they were never caught. In their spare time, they put together an idol group (as they are all in the music club) to combat the darkness surrounding investigating your own murder. How to audition?
You can apply on either our discord server or on the Casting Call Club website, it doesn't matter. I ask that you be above the age of 13 at the time of auditioning because we want mature cast members. Thank you for understanding. You can find our Discord server here: https://discord.gg/P5aUCNY. It doesn't matter what role you are applying for, you must join the discord server and include your CCC name in the introduction if you're applying on the website so that we know who you are. The specifics for each part are listed below.
Please note, we are currently unable to offer payment, as this project is mainly for fun. One day, though, we hope to be able to pay our staff!

They’re also a massive astrology nut and follow everyone’s star signs and horoscopes on a daily basis. They keep a massive book in which they write down all of their close-friends’ star signs, compatibilities and star charts. They pester everyone every time a planet is in retrograde and adores anyone who shows any interest in what they like. This is partially because nobody has ever shown them much posiHigh, smooth and shy.tive attention due to their obsessive and lonesome nature. They avoid most people because they don’t trust them until they meet their friends on the app. They struggle with making friends and long for a time before their mother died when they were still young and everything was better. They miss their old friends and everyone who used to be nice to them. They enjoy stargazing and have a professional telescope, as well as a myriad of astronomy and astrology apps and books. They love to read fiction, particularly romantic fantasy books about aliens and sci-fi. They would do anything for chocolate.

Catalina is from either Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador or Spain. She speaks fluent Spanish, English and beginners Japanese. She is a warm, motherly character that takes care of anyone who lets her get even the slightest bit close, because she was neglected for practically her entire life by her grandparents, who took care of her when her parents died. She is kind, compassionate, but quite a bit clingy, because she latches onto anyone who shows her even the slightest bit of positive attention. She adores cooking and baking, spending most of her time in the kitchen, making some new delicious snack or food. She likes to package the foods she makes and send them to her friends around the world. Her favourite colour is lime-green, her favourite smell is cinnamon and her ideal idea of a first date would be spent at home, making each other delicious food whilst getting to know each other.

Mina is a cold, callous individual who is from the capital of Germany. She is cruel and treats people harshly, striving only towards her goal of being a successful businesswoman- an owner of an ambitious technological business that produces high-tech. She likes to experiment with robotics and programming, being highly intelligent, perceptive and imaginative, though she may not look like the latter. Behind her cold, distant facade is a girl that just wants to be loved by someone and have someone tell her that she’s enough, because for her parents, she was never enough, always being inferior to her older siblings who always did better at school and passed every class with flying colours. She struggles with her words, often not being able to vocalise her thoughts in the way that she wants them to flow. Her favourite flavours are vanilla and chocolate and she tries very hard to please people.
Voice type: Can be either low or high, but definitely strict.

Lihua is from China and is very shy and lacks a lot of confidence. When she was younger, her parents would belittle her and lower her confidence until she broke. Though she lacks confidence, she’s very mean, lacking trust in most people. She has been taught by her parents that nobody would ever love her unless she was strong, and to them, strength meant being cruel. She likes to make music, sing and dance, particularly ballet. She’s a graceful, dainty person and is the shortest and youngest of the group. She’s incredibly agile and flexible as well. Her favourite colour is light green, her favourite pastime is writing stories where she lives in a different, better world and her favourite flavour is cherry.
Voice type: Either high or low, though shy and spiteful.

Elizabeth Jane Thomas. Eliza is from the UK, specifically London, the capital of England. She’s very smart, confident and bratty. She is the second mother of the group, being the eldest- taking care of everyone else. She immerses herself in fiction to get away from the cruel world that she lives in, the one that stole her parents away from her. She lives in a foster home and has been committed to a hospital several times for her poor mental health. She adores romance novels and would definitely describe herself as a hopeless romantic. She’s sweet and kind to almost everyone she meets, though gets discouraged very quickly whenever something does not go her way, falling into deep pits of sadness. She cries a lot because of this. However, despite all of this, she’s very kind and excitable, always loving everyone and giving them inspirational quotes. She struggles to uplift herself in the same way due to her massive anxiety, though. She’s incredibly modest and would never boast, too.
