Magic Over Gold: Minecraft Roleplay
Project Overview
Magic over Gold is a Minecraft roleplay inspired by Yennefer's backstory in the Witcher.
We follow the main character (Sapphire), who was born into a family of castaways in WhiteFalls. Her ancestors led a rebellion against the town over 200 years ago. This past destined everyone under her family name for low-paying jobs, making her despise everyone who lived inside the city.
The story starts with Orla, the Princess of Waeldestone, arriving to meet her future husband, Lord Silas. The same night, the townspeople celebrate the union of the houses and the peace between the kingdoms. Lord Silas approaches Sapphire at the party. This interaction made Princess Orla Jealous, sending her King's Guard to get rid of Sapphire in an attempt to save her new marriage. As she walked back home, alone in the forest, the King guard attacked Tokyo. In the panic, Tokyo teleports herself to a cave; For the first time, she could use her powers.
In the cave, She meets Trevin, an S.S.H Academy student who was also learning magic. This Academy teaches Sorceress how to serve under Royal families.

Lord Silas is the heir of Sawyer B'alam, and the future Lord of Whitefalls. Silas is engaged to Orla, The Princess and the future Queen of Lustion. Their Marriage is the only thing stopping the Northen kingdoms from rebelling against the Crown.
Silas is well mannered and polite infornt other Rulers and Royal, but in private, with people he trusts, he isn't afraid to let go and be himself, confident, cocky and playful. Due to his Royal upbringing, he can come off as inexperienced to friends raised inside the real world. Often doing things for the pleasure of it, not recognizing future consequences. He is Loyal and caring, which sometimes blinds him from the duty of being a ruler.

Silas: Inform my Father I'll be there soon.
Silas: The old Miner's home on the outskirts of town? (Like he comes to a realization.)
*Tokyo simply nods.*
Silas: It's right next to the castle's walls. I guess that makes us neighbours. (softly flirtatious.)
Silas: I'll be King one day, You should be thanking me for choosing you as my Sorceress. (Softly Offended, Strong, defensive).
Tokyo: King? Only If your marriage lasts that long, Until then, You're just a lord, foolish enough to marry into a hierarchy that uses him as a pond, to protect the Future Queen from Northen rebellions. A Queen that isn't loyal to you or your people.
Silas: Watch yourself, You can't be going around the castle talking about her like that. (Speak softly in a Stern, cautious whisper.) (Silas takes a pause and continues.)
Silas continues: You can choose to not like her, But she is still your princess and my Wife, and you serve me, her husband. You're a bright girl, I don't think I need to remind you of the oath you took in the S.S.H academy. (Dominant in the conversation, Knowing he is right. Calm, ending the argument.)
Coletta is Tokyo's best friend in Whitefall. Just like Tokyo, Coletta comes from an un-privileged family name. Even if Tokyo's situation is worse, Coletta and Tokyo always sympathized with each other's promised destiny due to their bloodline.
Coletta as a character is very sweet and light-hearted. Always looking at the bright side of things, She often fantasizes about marrying off into a better household name, where she could get a fairytale ending. Even if the possibilities are minimal. Most of her days start and end with her at her father's farm, taking care of the livestock.
Lydo/Coletta: He probably already proposed to the princess... (softly sad, disappointed) With his dreamy smile. (daydreaming)
Lydo/Coletta: Okay, I think it's time for us to leave. (Lydo/Coletta tries to stop the fight before it starts.)
Orla is the last living daughter of the King of Lunster. All her brothers died protecting the Crown against the Northen rebellions, making her have a heavy hatred to any associated with the Northerners. Due to her gender, Orla needed a husband to Rule the Kingdoms with, desperate to keep his line of succession alive, and losing against the Northerns, The King engaged Orla to the lord of Whitefalls Silas.
Orla despises the idea of needing a husband by her side. Knowing fairly well she could rule the kingdoms alone. She is smart, strong, calm (Almost intimidatingly cold) well-spoken, and patient. She thrives on proving herself to the throne, wanting to prove herself to her father, who is too blind to see it.
Orla: My father may have promised you the Title of a King, But I have Royal blood flowing through my veins, And that can never be promised. We'll never be equals, My people will never see us as equals. (stern, calm, cold.)
Orla: I'll also have a sorceress as my right hand, and they'll hold power over you.
Sapphire: That requires asking the king for help. (Needing her father for help is a sensitive topic for Orla. Sapphire knows this.)
Orla: (Orla pauses to recollect herself.) I've been playing this game of Magic over Gold for far longer than you have. Some advice? Unless you learn how to control it, that mouth of yours will be the death of you. (Calm, confident.)
Silas: What's with the woman around me bossing me around. (frustrated.)
Orla: Stopping acting foolishly, then we won't have to. (calm.)
Bree is a bully and an extra in the first episode. They can be a girl or boy, Bree is just a name given to them for the script.
Bree: Only a traitor's daughter would speak like that.
Bree: You have a big mouth. Did you forget? Around here, you have not right to talk to your superiors like that. If I were you, I would learn my place.
Emris is Sapphire's sorceress teacher in S.S.H academy. She follows Sapphire to her home after her teleporting incident. Emris takes Sapphire away from Whitefalls, to teach her how to use her new powers and soon be the right hand to a king or lord.
Emris is a Great teacher, often being rough with her most capable students. She isn't brave or strong but wise. Living life as a simple teacher in a hidden world, unwilling to put herself out there, knowing she couldn't handle the pressure of being a Royal's right hand.
Emris: You're capable of great things. But you are allowing yourself to get in the way.
Emris: Magic thrives on balance, For you to take, you need to give back. Something of equal value. (teaching a class)
Sapphire: Lunster was promised to me.
Emris: It was out of my control. The lord of Whitefall bargained with the king. He offered a great amount of money for you, an amount the king could not deny.
Sapphire: And I get to be sold off like some pig? Back to White falls?
Emris: a quite expensive pig if that is the case; (mostly Speaking out loud.) But yes, You have always been a bargaining tool among the royals, and you will be until the day you die.
This Role is for any male Extras. Ex: King's guards, Male villagers, Character's family, fathers, brothers, uncles etc...
King's guard: The Princess sends her regards. (Sent to murder someone.)
Farmer/Father: Lybo! (calls out from across the house.) The Sheep need feeding!
A lord: Why should we waste resources on you? I do not wish the reputation of helping the losing side of a war.
This role is for any female extras needed. Show me you can act as different Characters. Castle's maids, characters' family members, (Mothers, Sisters, Aunts etc..) Friend and villagers.
The Castle's Maid: The Princess will be arriving shortly; My Lord is asking for you.
Mother: Honey! Dinner is ready! (Calling out for character across the house.)
Old Fortuneteller: Do not allow love to get in the way of your rightful path. It'll swallow your purpose whole, It'll be impossible to come back from. (mysterious, old, Raspy, witch)
Oswyn is Sapphire's first friend in the S.S.H Academy. Their relationship is kept a secret for most of Sapphire's education due to a rule in the school prohibiting warlock and sorceress from forming connections with one another. In fear of romantic relationships forming. Which in Oswyn and Sapphire situation it does. But doesn't last long as their secret comes to light and Oswyn sacrificing Sapphire to save his own skin.
Oswyn is Over the top, easily flustered and quick to react. Most of the time backfires on him, which is the main reason Kings, Queens, and lords don't consider him as a good option as a righthand. Making him a 4th year in the academy, one of the oldest still enrolled. He enjoys order, defending it at all cost.

Oswyn: Did you cast that portal out thin air, by yourself?
Oswyn: You're just angry you lose your chance to be someone meaningful! (Angry, hurt,)
Sapphire: I want to be Powerful.
Oswyn: No amount of magic will make feel worthy of either! (Angry, trying to have the last say in an argument.)
