If Pokémon Talked (Generation I)

Project Overview

Overview

I have decided to start the voice casting for my If Pokémon Talked web series. If you haven't heard of If Pokémon Talked, there are a lot of videos I have done on YouTube. I'm currently using a different name on Casting Call right now for unknown reasons at the moment. I am casting some people for If Pokémon Talked now, because I was the only one doing voices and there are some voices that I am either unable to do the voice of, not distinct or good enough in my opinion, or just feel like passing the role onto. These are for the anime and game editions of If Pokémon Talked. Scripts are still currently in development, but then I have decided to start casting since the anime based scripts don't take all that long. Some regional forms of Pokémon will be in a project for the region that they appear in.

Requirements

- A good microphone quality with little to no background noise intact.

- Discord. I would highly recommend it for better communication.

Other Notes

- You can audition for multiple roles. Because there are a lot of roles for this, there's a slight chance you will end up getting cast for at least more than one role. Some roles also have more than one character. It's all because they're part of the same evolution line.

- Most of them are female at the moment, since there are many roles that I have decided to continue with.

- I will accept voice over reels. They are not required, but I will accept them.

- This is not a paid project. (in the future it may end up as paid, but I'm just beginning on this website, and I'm still not too far on YouTube)

- Please be respectful to others, because I don't want anyone to be vulgar to each other in this community.

- If there are any questions, don't be afraid to ask me.

Have fun auditioning!

Latest Updates

  • Two Roles Have Been Re-opened

A quick update for this project that's still around at the moment. The roles for Clefable (male) (Generation VI-present) and Vulpix (Male) (Generation VIII-present) are now open. Dontae
  • More Roles Will be Cast on Wednesday.

I originally announced the role casting to be done last week or some other time, but now I have rescheduled the casting for this Wednesday instead. Excellent job with the auditions, and I'll get back to you on Wednesday if you got the part! Dontae
  • I'm moving it by yet another week.

I am moving everything that was expected this week to next week. Because there is too much going on right now that is preventing me from finishing what I need.
  • The Deadline and Casting Have Been Moved Again

I thought everything would be ready at the time, but some other issues have pushed me back. They may continue to push me back this week as well. So I have decided to push the deadline to July 15 for the project, and the voice casting for July 3. I am sorry that I forgot to mention this a few days ago. Dontae Majors
  • Deadline has moved to June 25.

I moved the deadline to a later time once again, because I still require auditions for the roles. But however, around that time there will also be a possibility of another project being made by me will start around that time as well or maybe later. Dontae

Kiawe's Charizard is usually shown to be calm, but just like every other Charizard, it has a burning passion for anger. A deep and somewhat gravelly voice is required for this role.

This Charizard is proud of its power and has a passion for battles. It has a strong connection with Alain, it's trainer. It has a dream to aim for, and that is to defeat every Mega Evolved Pokémon. Because it's a Charizard, I would expect a deep baritone voice coming from it. This role also may require more yelling than some of the other Pokémon in this project.

  • I will never let my guard down, even against someone unprepared!

  • I will not let go of this feeling yet... this is our chance! Our dream! I refuse to shake this off!

Because it's a Charizard, it can act pretty aggressive at times, but as soon as it matured as a Charizard, it started listening to it's trainer more. Judging from how the voice sounds in the anime, a pretty deep voice would be the perfect match for this Pokémon.

  • How's this? Let's see how you're Mega Evolution can handle mine!

  • It feels like it's as if I regained my confidence again. The battle we have done earlier reminded me how thrilling it can be.

Snorlax is a Normal-type Pokémon. It's does nothing but sleep and eat. The Snorlax would have a voice that would suit a big fat Pokémon. It would also have a childish personality at times. On very rare occasions this Pokémon will also speak in 3rd person.

  • Got something for me to eat? I can't get back to sleep until I get fed a lot.

  • I could use some sleep right now. Don't disturb me, okay?

  • I'll flatten you with my Body Slam!

Zapdos is an Electric/Flying type Pokémon. One of the legendary birds. It appears to turn the sky dark, and a shower of lightning will come down. I will accept a voice I find the most suitable.

  • I can feel the incoming call of thunder.

  • I will strike my foes with a fully empowered Thunderbolt!

Dratini is a Dragon type Pokémon that is a pseudo-legendary Pokémon. It can shed its skin if it meets a status problem. Was originally a mythical Pokémon, until a small colony was found underwater. Dratini would speak in a very high young male voice. I listed"female" because I thought it would be impossible to cast a male voice actor for this.

Dragonair is the evolved form of Dratini. It is a gentle Pokémon. It can extend its wings to fly. This Pokémon would talk in a more mature child voice compared to Dratini which talks in a really high voice.

  • Dratini: Don't let my size fool you. I'm still a pseudo-legendary Pokémon!

  • Dragonair: Everything seems safe now. The storm is over. I must return back to my home.

  • Dratini: I may be small, but I'm still a pseudo-legendary Pokémon.

  • Dragonair: I'll meet you over by the waterfall. Since you're a water-type Pokémon, you'll be fine just swimming there.

Dragonite is a Dragon/Flying. It's the final evolution of Dratini. It can fly at a very high speed.  Dragonite is a very kindhearted Pokémon. It will also save those who are drowning. I would recommend a voice that is brave, kind and intelligent. Sort of calming as well when speaking normally.

  • I may fly, but I am still considered the guardian of the sea.

  • Meet me by the waterfall. We can start our final test there.

  • You have an outstanding fighting spirit. Let's have a sparring match another time.

The Mega Evolution for Mewtwo. Mewtwo is a Psychic-type legendary Pokémon. I just decided to go with a female voice for Mega Mewtwo Y as a reference to Genesect and the Legend Awakening or its voice in the Unova special.

  • I will not allow anything like this to go unchanged!

  • I must... make a difference. Before it is too late.

  • You have caused so much chaos with my mind. I will not accept that any longer!

Mew is the mythical Pokémon of the Kanto region, and is a Psychic-type Pokémon. This Pokémon will mostly have this voice in the games as of the Diamond and Pearl editions of If Pokémon Talked. I have decided Mew should have a female voice actor, because I want it to differ compared to the voice given in the If Pokémon Talked anime editions. Mew is shown to have a playful personality.

  • This is the perfect place to practice our battles.

  • I just wanna be happy. Happy with you.

  • Mewtwo, why don't we team up for once.
