Hi everyone!
This Casting Call will be in search for a VA for the character Quirrell from Hollow Knight! The language for this will be in english, and while ingame the characters themselves don't speak english, I'd love to hear what you come up with!
This is a PAID PROJECT. Payments will be made through paypal.
- That being said, rates will be discussed with the person chosen; there's a lot to record here and I would rather follow a pre-existing rate instead of paying you a pre-determined sum! That being said, please prepare a 'rate' accordingly if you're to audition! (I.E - $0.30 per word).
This video will be a Comic Dub of the Comic included in the Collectors Edition of Hollow Knight! It explores a fraction of Quirrell's story, a lone exploring Pill Bug with a mysterious personality and path.
That being said, this is quite an action packed comic, so SFX (grunting, fight foley) and such will be asked for to the person chosen for him!

Any auditions after this date will be rejected, and an actor will be selected from there.
Quirrell is an explorer of Hallownest, fascinated with that area and the surrounding places for reasons he can't quite explain. That said, he's quite a mysterious, whimsical creature, and fights if needed.
His voice should be quite smooth with a mature tone. Quirrell has seen and experienced a lot of harm in his time, and is wise to life and it's dangers.

As mentioned, feel free to get creative with your Voice for Quirrell, let this reference serve as a rough idea of what the game has him sound like, if you find something that fits better, feel free to submit it!
(Reflecting and thinking to himself, internally) "In my dreams I see the kingdom. A world almost unreal, yet most known."
(Inspecting a small bug, curious) "How Similar your shell, little one... Yet so different."
(Calling upward to a menacing foe) "Hello up there! I'm only an explorer, I assure you. Here merely to witness."
Boon is a strange, unfamiliar bug that was founded by Quirrell. Not much is known about him until Quirrell asists him from a horde of bugs attacking Boon ravenously. With ease, he takes them down with Boon's assistance.
Boon's voice should be quite deep and grating. He's an outcast and shambles from place to place, his reasons? Unknown, but his simplified manner of speaking leads us to believe he isn't exactly educated, and may be quite the hermit. He usually speaks in mumbles, the large, quiet type.
Word count comes to 13 (excluding mumble noises and fight grunts).
(After being saved by Quirrell, with child-like curiousity) "You help.. Boon?"
(Handing sustenance to Quirrell) "Food. Then together, Travel."
(Parting ways with Quirrell) "Safe you stay, Mask."
