Coroika Dub: Revival Project
Project Overview
Welcome to the casting call for the Coroika Dub: Revival Project! We're currently looking for the voices of several characters that appear throughout the Corocoro Splatoon manga series. Splatoon belongs to Hisashi Nogami and Nintendo, and the manga belongs to Sankichi Hinodeya and Corocoro comics. This is an open casting call for all characters, but the first to make an appearance are Goggles, Specs, Bobble Hat, Rider, Callie, and Marie, so they'll be the most important roles for us to fill.
Overall requirements are as follows:
Must have a USB or XLR microphone. 3.5mm line-in microphones, phones, or other recording instruments will not be accepted. Preferred (but not required) mics are: Blue Snowball/Yeti, Audio Technica 2020 or 2035, or Røde-branded microphones
Audio clean-up knowledge - know how to clean up audio before sending in your take.
Punctual Timing. When we say there is a deadline, please stick to the deadline. If there is something that comes up where you cannot submit lines, let us know ahead of time. If not, and we are blindsided, consider that a warning. If it happens again, you will no longer be part of the project.
For the audition, have three separate takes - no more no less. If it helps, say the lines in different emotions. For example, one version is angry, another version tired, and the last confused. You don’t have to follow these examples, they are just there to lend a hand.
For communication with the rest of the team, a discord account is preferred, but at the very least an email is required.
Lastly, this is a not for profit project.

A lot of the characters make emotionally expressive reactions, so if you want to include some of those in your takes, go for it!. Goggles is highly energetic and extremely confident in his demeanor. He feels he can win any battle with enough practice and never gives up. He’s always ready for any fight. His voice should be similar to Sonic the Hedgehog, but with a bit more enthusiasm and confidence.
Don't worry, as long as we do our best, we can't lose!

Specs is nerdy sounding and lacks confidence. He also is the "leader" of the group, and always tries to critique everyone, but he isn’t necessarily good at doing so. He usually gets annoyed at Goggles' shenanigans, but other than that, he's got a mostly stern attitude and won't hesitate to help his friends, especially right after scolding them.
Where in the world is Goggles?! He's Late!!
I guess all that practice is paying off!!
I heard he doesn't like to team up, but he's gotta have a team to enter the tournament....! We'll never be able to beat him...!
Bobble Hat is an overly energetic, childlike, and extremely happy person. She sounds as if she’s never had a bad day in her life, and only battles to have fun and hang out with her friends. Bobble Hat has figured out how to create good emotions, by doing things when and where she should. By perfecting the art of scheduling, she makes sure she can remain in a happy/relaxed state in the present/future, without resorting to physical means.
Even if I'm being attacked, I still get to hang with the others members of Team Blue. It's fun. Aren't you having fun?

Let's call it "stupid sync power."
The best way to describe his preferred voice is deep and mature. He is mostly stoic and is serious, until either team blue or goggles ruins his flow. Rider is considered to be the best at what he does, so have confidence in what he says.
You and your stupid teamwork. Who needs teamwork? You work as a team and someone is bound to mess up. You only need one good player to win a turf war, and that's me.

You guys weren't talking strategy, so how did you coordinate your moves?
Army is stern, strategic, confident, and tactical. He always refers to his manual of information for every situation/opponent in a battle. Once he knows how to deal with a certain situation, he can’t be stopped. However, if he can't recognize a situation, he collapses in confusion and doesn't know what to do. As a member of the S4, he is a highly-skilled fighter. His voice is smooth, calm, and confident.
My manuals are the key to victory!! There isn't a single move we can't foresee!!

Aloha is extremely confident, cocky, and is also a party animal who sees battles as nothing but a party. He seems relaxed when battles are going his way, but once he realizes he's losing, he begins to lose his cool. He's relaxed, but also tactical. He's also a highly skilled fighter, as a member of the S4.
Didn't I tell you?! I've already seen through that attack!

I guess chemistry isn't something you should compare. Looks like we still have a lot to learn!
Mask sees no joy in life and thinks anyone who is happy should be stomped out. He hates Inklings who enjoy life, and he despises optimism. He's confident, clever, and knows how to take down a team without even breaking a sweat. His voice is raspy, whispery, and low, but not very deep. He isn't very emotional, but once he gets angry, it becomes obvious. He’s also a highly skilled fighter, as a member of the S4.
You won't be smiling once I'm done with you.

Y-Yeah, well... I enjoy being with my teammates too... But... Sh-shutup! I will destroy all Inklings who enjoy life!!
Skull is calm, steady, confident, and strong. As the highest ranking member of the S4, he knows he's exceptionally skilled, but never overlooks a team unless he knows they're weak. He considers battles against weak teams a waste of his time, but can recognize and respect a strong team. His voice is low, smooth, quiet, and often emotionless. His voice should also be decently monotone.
I thought it'd help me kill some time... It'll probably be a boring game like usual though...

Callie is very cheerful and excitable, usually sporting a grin on her face. She is outwardly optimistic and caring, but isn't afraid to engage in friendly rivalry. She values her bond with her cousin Marie, but sometimes over-uses puns to purposely annoy her.
Callie doesn't have too many lines, so maybe try to improvise some of your own!
The team that can take the central area of Arowana Mall first will have the edge!

Marie is seemingly quieter and not as excitable as her cousin, and usually only gives a half-smile, if at all. She can be sarcastic from time to time, and slightly prone to complaining, but is usually in a mild mood. Overall, her disposition is laid-back and friendly, but sometimes grumpy. She dislikes overly-thrilling activities and can even be somewhat lazy.
Marie doesn't have too many lines, so maybe try to improvise some of your own!
In a turf war... the team that uses their weapons to paint the most surface area wins!
