Ari in Pokerland
Project Overview
Ari in Pokerland is a small comic I'm working on, the idea and history is completely finished, I need some help with designs for some characters and getting voices for the characters.
A girl named Ari escapes from her problems and awakes in a mysterious and magic world where everything looks like a card game and nothing is what it seems.
Somehow, she receives a letter asking for her help at a lonely town where people are going missing at a quick rate, if she success she will get answers for all the questions she may have.
Without thinking twice she goes to the said town trying to not get lost in the meantime.
When she arrives to the town she meets 2 other persons, Lapis and Baha. They received the same letter as her and went to the town, not for helping, but for other reasons.
They also meet the person who wrote the letters, Narr, a citizen of the town and church father's right hand man, who wanted to help, but couldn't do it on his own.
Will these four heroes find what is causing these mysterious disappearances and stop it?

Main protagonist of the history.
Ari is a teenager who is really kind and can read well the problems of other people.
She will try to help anyone that seems unhappy. But sometimes she is really gullible and it gets her into lots of trouble.
(Worried or sad) A-are you sure you are alright? After all... He was someone important to you.
(Excited) We can try to stop this! We are a team! I believe in us!!
(Confused) That... wasn't real...But... it felt like it.
Selfish for his own desires, but won't hesitate on helping someone that is in terrible danger.
Acts rude but haves a sweet side that not a lot of people know of. The stronger of the four (physically)
He wants to stay in Pokerland because in there he feels important.
(Annoyed) Ari, right? I don't care about your life, could you please shut up? I'm trying to work.
(Surprised and terrified) W-what do you mean we will go to our world after this? N-NO THAT CAN'T BE, THERE MUST BE A WAY TO STAY HERE, I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK!
(Sad) I'm sorry... for everything. I'm just... scared. Hah. Isn't that sarcastic?
The smart one of the four. They likes puzzles and also logic games a lot.
They are not the romantic one but gets really shy when someone tries to flirt with them.
Greedy, like, really greedy. They wants to stay in Pokerland because of the money.
(Sarcastic) Wow, that was the most complex puzzle I've ever seen in my life, I've almost surrender
(Angry) What do you mean you won't pay anything for this?! You guys don't even have one of these in this world!
(Really shy) H-huh?! I mean... I-I could go with you, b-but, why you?... Want to be with me?
Gay disaster that appears to be a cinnamon roll but could and will absolutely kill you.
Lucky and seems really sweet and nice (until the end of the story), he is the main antagonist of the story, also a crazy jester that went mad because his beloved is not longer alive.
Have you hear of mischief and angst? He is the definition of that.
I headcanon his voice breaking sometimes midtalk, more if he screams.
(Happy) You really came here to help? That's really kind of you three!
(Really angry/shout) DO NOT TOUCH ME!!! (Softly) heh.. S-sorry about that... I just don't like people in my personal space, you know?
(you can make this into a crazy monologue or a normal talk) In this place everyone wants something, Lapis wants recognition, Baha money, and you? I'm pretty sure you also want something. Even I also want something, but I'm afraid I cannot get it, yet.
Ako is a king killed a long time ago by four of his followers, now manifesting only to Ari by a mysterious power. He is kind and a calm person, sometimes he gives Ari advice of things no one should know about.
His voice is really soft and low, the kind of voice you can go to sleep with.
(Softly) You know Ari, even if you are not from anywhere near here, I can see you feel at home.
(Worried) I can help you go back to your world, but... I'm afraid you must give me something first
(Delighted) After all this time, this place still looks the same, he really took good care of the palace. I think I made the correct choice.
One of the villains of the history. Pretentious and wants to be the main center of everybody's attention.
She haves the power of making people follow her instructions and act as they "love" her.

(Excited) Well, well, well, how fun will this be? More people means more love only for me!!!
My, my, you are just a little child, what are you going to do? Hm? Cry about it?
(Upset) If you continue acting like no one cares about me, I will make sure no one cares about you!

Wants to be the only king left so everyone bows to him and only him

Hahaha! You think you can defeat me?! You really are pathetic!!
(Sarcastic) Oh no, she thinks I'm a bad person! Of course, how did I not see it before? (Angry) Shut it out clown, what you think will not change a single thing!!
If you don't move of my way, then don't worry, I don't care about getting over you, literally hahaha!

They are really smart but you cannot change the way they see the world, even if you tried.

(Tired and explaining) You are just too dumb and small to understand anything, money is power, everybody should know that. If you don't have cash, then you are a nobody, easy as that!
I can't let you win, winners takes all, so if I lose that means I won't get any rewards, and I don't think that's...fair. Hahaha!!
(Upset) Don't you have something else to do? Adults are talking!
