Introduction
Hello! Thanks for checking out this CCC page! Across the Star Grid is a project that has been on and off in the works for a couple of years now. Initially, it was meant to be a dubbed webcomic, however, I felt like an audiobook/podcast narrated for youtube with some art better fit the timeline and my skills as the sole director, writer, and for the most part, artist. With this change to the format, things should be running a lot more smoothly and at a better pace, and there are several roles that still need to be cast. In regards to my timeline, once every role gets cast, we intend to try to release fully narrated and edited chapters every week to YouTube.
(I do want to be clear that this is a long term project, nonetheless. The length of the story spans, what I intend to be, at least a trilogy. However, over time I intend to get a Patreon working and other means of compensating my actors, artists, and music designers. Currently, I am still compensating Voice Actors at a rate of $.50/per line for non-narrators and $5/per page for narrators.)
Synopsis
Across the Star Grid is a complicated, but interesting story that is primarily set in a separate galaxy called The Star Grid and it follows an abundance of different characters, who all share a commonality in being related, in some way, to what is called the Elder Council. Elders are the closest beings there are to Gods and their sole purpose is to maintain the balance of the universe, however, when the story begins, it has been nearly two decades since one of these Elders, Galeko, has gone AWOL and decided to start an uprising against the council. As faithful successors and protectors of the Elder Council, a group of powers called the Prodigies must unravel Galeko's plans and stop him from taking over the universe.

Dedicated to bringing down Time Wraiths in revenge for his pack. He isn’t the brightest, but always has the best intentions in mind with his actions. He is hardly seen in light moods, due to his avoidance of connections and happiness until the Time Wraiths have been brought down.

(Stern, cold) I'm doing something about Ches, because you won't. And a little sacrifice is necessary to secure the balance of the multiverse.
(Withdrawn, regretful) I wasn't thinking. I just wanted revenge. I wanted him to pay for what he did to my people. I thought the vector would ruin his plans. I didn't realize that it would cause so much pain...
Jess is very nurturing but independent. She has a tendency to give all of her energy to helping and caring for others, but none to caring for herself. Her history of being a source of reliance for other people has brought her to bottling her emotions and an inability to be dependent on others. She is stubborn and strong-willed, being a guiding light for everyone around her. She is an excellent listener and advice-giver and does anything she can to emotionally, physically, and financially support the people she loves.

(Stern, chiding) At least I don’t abandon everyone every time something bad happens. It’s the job, Oliver, do it, or don’t.
(Panicked, desperate) Where's my son? What happened to him?! What did you do?
I stare at him through the small opening in the door for a moment. He sits there with his head held low, pressing the bloodied cloth to his face. The look on his face is tragic. I know he’s guilty. I know he wouldn’t have ever done what he did intentionally, but my feelings toward him are so sickenly mixed. I am so unfathomably angry with him. I want to hate him the way that Eric does; only for the catharsis it might offer me, but I can’t. He’s my nephew and I know he’s sick. I just wish I could go back in time and fix this. This isn’t something I can mend, though.
Jon is outgoing, optimistic, and charismatic. He is selfless and brave and will do anything he can to protect his loved ones.

(Stubborn, brave) I don't know what you hope to do with me, but I would gladly die before telling you anything about my wife.
(Reassuring, kind) Hey, it's not so bad down here. If you need someone to talk to, I'm always right here. And, don't tell anyone, but I got a pack of cards we can play with. You ever played poker?
Ryan is outgoing, bouncy and optimistic. He loves making people laugh and he tries to keep himself in a good mood at all times. He gets very attached very quickly to new people and is very excitable and energetic. When bad things happen to Ryan, he is only affected temporarily as he is very good at cheering himself up. He has a very short attention span and gets distracted fairly easily. He loves crafting, cooking and dancing and has a good sense of style when it comes to clothes.

(Bubbly, dorky) It's a clay volcano! Do you like it?
(Angry, resentful) You're the reason that the Garden of Kitsunes was abandoned. You're the reason that Julian went missing. Let him go right now or I'll have to force you out of him!
(Lovestruck, comedic) Are you kidding? Just a guy? He's perfect. I'm obsessed.
Barraku is very serious and focused on his job which makes him appear cold and dissonant most of the time. He is incredibly intelligent and speaks eloquently. While he cares immensely about everyone he meets, he does not outwardly show it and tends to have a pretentiousness to the way he carries himself.

(Stern, professional) We need to keep a close eye on Ches. For the time being, he seems to be occupied, however, that could change at any instant. I want you to be in charge of training the new keeper, Sierra.
(Frustrated, bitter) Your job is to keep the balance of the multiverse, not be the sole responsibility for thousands of civilians' deaths. If you weren't the only Woalf keeper, I'd kill you myself, Fenris.
(Pronunciation: Wolf)
(Wise, lecturing) What makes you feel insignificant to the cause? Are you unaware that you play an essential role in all of this? Surely, you can't really believe that you are that disposable.
Stern and stubborn, she is the more serious and strict of Mai’s parents, and ultimately all of the Elders. She cares deeply about her family but doesn’t often outwardly show her love. She comes off as cold and dissonant and is very cool-headed.
Vocal Type: Alto
(Standoffish, cold) You really are an idiot, Zayne. But you cared about Mai, and you care about my granddaughter which is really the only thing that matters to me.
(Bitter, stern) And what are we to do about that spineless bastard, Galeko? Are we supposed to sit here and twiddle our thumbs while he does whatever he wants to?
Tyson is friendly, outgoing, and affectionate. His love language is touch, causing him to be an empathetic lover and also a great listener.
Vocal Type: Baritone/Tenor
(Sorrowful, timid) I don’t know, I guess I care too much about everything.
(Panicked, desperate) Dad! No! He was helping me!
Yhale is sweet and caring with a good sense of humor. She looks out for those around her more so than herself and is the more emotional and outwardly caring one of Mai’s parents.
(Excited, friendly) Oh dear Elders, look at you! That hair...You are the spitting image of Mai! And those eyes? That was always my favorite part about your father. So pretty. I am so excited to meet you!
(Sad, reassuring) This is never something I thought we would have to go through. And it is so painful, but we will get through it, Mads. And we will get justice for our daughter...
Jonah is bouncy, excitable and optimistic. He loves making new friends and rarely lets negative events bring him down. Because of his inability to balance, he likes to stay floating in the air. This lack of balance has been taken advantage of by Galeko to keep Jonah compliant, so as a result he becomes incredibly anxious when he’s not actively airborne.

(Frightened, panicked) I did everything you asked! Please don't hurt him, he did nothing wrong!
(Excited, Exuberant) I like your orange hair. It's like fire. Do you like fire? I think fire is awesome!
When we get to the supposed rendezvous, there is a man standing outside. I already have a bad feeling about him. He's tall and muscular and he has this weird smile on his face like he's hiding something. I don't like any of this. I have to pretend to, though. If my mom finds out that I having second thoughts, she'll lock me away again.
Torren is troubled emotionally but is passionate and driven. While he can seem lazy and easily discouraged, he can always pick himself back up in the end and when it’s time to help someone, he is always there. He is stubborn but dedicated to his morals and he cares deeply about those he holds close to him. While Torren can get stuck being held up about the past, he also holds a lot of ambition and potential for the future. He is witty and carries a fearless attitude in battle.

(Sarcastic, bitter) Oh, that’s fantastic! I was desperately in need of a blanket in this blazing weather!
(Mocking, comedic) Did you really think that after I got shot in the head, a whole waste of an entire magazine would do something the first bullet didn’t?
The first thing I did when I got there was try to look for Welsh’s Academy. There was no purpose in doing so other than for my own entertainment, but I didn’t find it. Apparently, the Welsh of this universe isn’t the headmaster of a Catholic school in Detroit. It leaves me to wonder what the Welsh of this universe is doing or did. He’s probably dead. A lot of people on this Earth are dead. I try not to think about the other people of this universe. Thinking about people being dead makes me sad and I don’t particularly like being sad.
Arielle is outgoing, compassionate and optimistic. She is loyal to the people she cares about and has an undeterred sense of integrity. She is not afraid to stand up for the things she’s passionate about and has an open heart and mind to new experiences and people.
(Curious, bewildered) This is the Garden of Kitsunes! I've heard so much about it! (Concerned) Where is everyone...?
(Witty, friendly) I think he's trying to dance? I'm not sure. He's not really good at it...
(Angry, defensive) All you care about is the past and I'm sick of it! I'm not gonna guide my life by some hundred-year feud. And if you're gonna make me choose between the love of my life and a tribe that is infested with prejudice, I won't hesitate to pick Toobhi.
(Pronunciation: Toby)
Daegan is a major goofball, with all intentions of doing good for those around him. While he often comes off as immature, he is truly able to handle many stresses that come with his job, while lightening the mood for himself and others with humor.
(Friendly) Well, you must be Wardon's little granddaughter. You look a lot like your mother, you know that? Hey, I know Wardon can be a bit of a grump, but he's a nice guy. Just be patient with him.
(Wise) He's worried about his kid, Wardon. That child is all he has left of Mai. I know you expect him to be like Nick, but if we're being honest he's a lot like you were when you were young. Reckless and tenacious.
(Comical, teasing) Wardon, did you know those whiskers make you look like a fish? What's the name of that fish you look like. Oh, a loach! (Laughing) I love those little suckers. Pun, very much intended.
Despite Eric’s rebellious, but timid ways as a teenager, he has grown up to be very stern and serious most of the time. He takes his job very seriously and doesn’t leave much room for immaturity within his colleagues and friends. To his dismay, he has become incredibly similar to his father in many ways, which later on, he tries to combat. Although he can be stubborn and cold, he is very charismatic and loving. He tries his best to support those in his life whom he cares about and is very forgiving to people who have wronged him.

(Bitter, stern) I don't need reckless grit. I need obedience to protocol. Barr, make sure this mess gets cleaned up. As for you, go back to your dorm. I've had enough insubordination for today.
(Bashful, Awkward) Uh-hey..uh. What are you doing here? Like not that you can't be here..but like, why? Sorry, that's...rude. How are you doing Jess? How's Earth...?
The moment I see him, my heart drops into my stomach. His name is Andrew Cedar and he's a Subordinate Officer transferred from West Bay, but he looks exactly like someone I used to know. Someone incredibly important to me. The similarities are unmistakable. If Jakob had grown up, this is what he might have looked like. Everything from his short, black hair, to his dark, caramel skin and brown eyes looks sickeningly alike to my son. I have to force myself to look back at Garland to prevent myself from staring, but my hands are shaking and the memories are already coming back to me in a swarm.
Nick is very introverted and quiet. He has a hard time socializing with others and has deep-rooted trust issues resulting from his turbulent past. The hallucinations that result from his unstable energy can make him paranoid and delusional at times as well. Despite his unstable energy and mental health, Nick is incredibly dedicated to his job. He is very loyal and has a strong sense of right and wrong. Even though he can be temperamental and stubborn, he is very empathetic and cares deeply for the people he holds close to him, especially his family.
Nick is also bilingual, resulting from the Hispanic/Native American household he grew up in.

(Stern, bitter) I'm not your personal medic, Graves. Take her to a hospital on Earth. I have more important things to take care of. (Under his breath) Pinche pendejo...
(Comforting, paternal) You could never do anything to let me down. Remember that. I couldn't be more proud of you, Jack. And I'm here for you always.
My eyes flutter open and I dart into an upright position, hyperventilating. I look around and take notice of the silent, dark room I’m in. Calmness washes over me and I calculate the time. It’s late morning and I curse myself for oversleeping. Pulling back the covers, I slide out of bed and turn on the light. I get dressed and unlock my bedroom door, peering outside before leaving the comfort of my sleeping space. The workshop remains as still and untouched as I left it last night before bed.
I always begin my mornings by making sure that everything is in its rightful place and nothing is missing. If something were missing, it would indicate that someone else has invaded my space and taken it. It is important for me to keep my workshop protected. There are valuables within it that can be very dangerous if placed in the hands of the wrong person. That aside, my location shouldn’t be compromised. Although the current danger seems to be coming from Galeko, there are always other forces lurking underneath our suspicions. Forces Sierra knew about, but could never trust in explaining to me.
Deen is very girly and at times can seem stuck up. She carries herself with a certain prestigiousness to compensate for her self-consciousness about her illness. Because of her history of being sick and constantly being cared for, she loathes dependency and tries her hardest to be self-sufficient in every way. She is strong-willed and witty and rarely ever shows her emotions to anyone.

(Stuck-up, feigning politeness) Well, this is...nice. Is it always like this? Oh. Lovely.
(Frustrated, defensive) You have no idea what it feels like to be helpless. I am so tired of everyone trying to cater to me like I'm some damsel in distress. Leave me alone, Seth! I can handle myself, perfectly. Thank you.
I study the apartment. It seems like it's been left in a state of emergency. There's food rotting on the kitchen table and the drawers and cabinets have all been left open as if someone was searching for something important, before leaving it all behind. There's a stagnant stench to the entire place, but it's more than just the decaying food. It reeks of mildew and I can assume that before its inhabitants left for good, they barely left at all. It's disgusting, really. I can't stand another minute of it.
"This one's up to you," I tell Seth as I march back outside and bask in the luxury of fresh air.
Jax is brave and intelligent. He is compassionate and will do anything for the people he cares about. He has a strong sense of loyalty and once gaining his memories back, gains his humorous and outgoing personality back. He loves his friends deeply and, like his father, has a way of being able to keep up the good mood.

(Casual, relaxed) Our mission went fairly well. Caarbjon went a little overboard, as he usually does, but it turned out alright. What about you guys? Make some good profit?
(Pronunciation: Carbon)
(Frustrated, sad) Why would I want my memories back if everyone in them is gone?
Caarbjon clings onto me like some kind of parasite as I creep toward the center of the room. The feeling that something is wrong continues to worsen as I look around and see no sign of the rogues. They should be here. Rogue Valent clans always leave someone on watch to guard their treasure. As I reach the platform in the center, I notice a strange object sitting on a pedestal in a small ray of light. It seems to be made out of some kind of metal and it's shaped like a cube. I hear Caarbjon's voice protesting me over my shoulder as I reach toward it. Something in the back of my head tells me that I shouldn't, but against all logical reasoning, I feel drawn to it. However, as soon as I touch it I feel like my soul is physically ripped out of my body and I fall to the ground, immediately passing out.
Chase is outgoing, bouncy, and optimistic. He is dorky and sometimes lacks common sense. What he lacks in social intelligence, he makes up in academics, however. He is kind hearted and blinded a bit by his lover-boy type personality. He is affectionate and empathetic.
Vocal Type: Baritone
(Comical) I don't just think of you as a sepitcal like everyone else! Wait, sorry, I meant spectacle. I forgot the word.
(Empathetic, reassuring) I love you and I'm not going anywhere. You're the coolest person I've ever met and I'd be an idiot to ruin that.
(Confused, sad) But you just called me cute! Why do you want me to leave? I'm so confused! Hey...are you crying?
Axil is the embodiment of a lot of Nick’s negative emotions. He is reckless, paranoid, and hot tempered. He can act manipulative and conniving and he is a pathological liar. However, with the threat of being vanquished, he turns on a dime into being loyal and submissive as a means of preserving his existence. He does whatever Nick tells him to do because he has to.
Vocal Type: (Gravelly and hoarse) Baritone
(Rude, condescending) You're the reason he got locked up in the first place. All you do is ruin people's lives. Talk about worthless. You're the definition.
(Panicked, nervous) I'm s-sorry, sir! Please don't dispel me! I won't misbehave anymore. I'm your loyal servant, remember? I'll do anything for you! Please!
Since Jakob Fawkes is possessed by an evil Wraith by the name of Hysteria for a while, he presents as two different characters. In flashbacks his original self is shown, but otherwise,Hysteria has taken over his body.
Jakob is bubbly and outgoing. He tries to make friends with everyone he meets and keeps an optimistic, light-hearted attitude at almost all times. He cares deeply about the people he loves, especially Oliver, who he looks up to. He is ambitious and idealistic. After he is released from Hysteria’s hold he is slightly different, being more stern and angsty, He deals with the frustration of being gone for so long, as well as the trauma he experienced from his past.
Hysteria is manipulative, conniving and sadistic. His nickname, Hysteria, comes from his love of psychological torture and despite knowing that he can harvest energy from Infinites without having to kill them, he likes to kill anyways. He is creepy and while never imposes any direct threat to Emma or Brendon, likes messing with them in any way he can.
Vocal Type: Tenor/Alto
(Child-like, creepy) Hi there! I’m Jake! What’s your name? Well, I think we could be friends. Do you want to be my friend?
(Stern, smug) You’re so cute when you cry, Emma. I would understand why Ace wants to keep you around rather than kill you. Still, I feel like your eyes would make great additions to my collection.
(Bright, curious) Do you think I could one day be an elder? I know I don’t have energy, but do I need it?
Soaren is timid, but friendly. He loves baseball and he is very athletic. He is charismatic and passionate about the people and things he cares about. He will stand up for anything he believes in and he is very selfless. Despite being shy, he loves making new friends and he tries to be as optimistic as possible all the time. Even though he tries to be optimistic, sometimes he fails and he can let his frustration get the best of him.
Vocal Type: High Tenor/Alto
(Angry, defensive) Don't you dare speak about my parents like that! There's nothing wrong with them!
(Sad, frustrated) I don't get why they had to go...They said they'd be here for me always and then they just left. What am I supposed to believe?
(Friendly, informative) It's called Baseball! Here, I'll show you how to play. You go stand over there and I'll tell you what to do.
Laura is incredibly laid back and cool-tempered. She is outgoing and friendly and has a very maternal personality. She basically considers everyone her children and she looks after and cares for everyone as if they were. She is forgiving and loyal and is a good empath, caring deeply and openly about her loved ones.
Vocal Type: Alto
(Feigning ignorance, comedic) Set them up? I don't know what you're talking about. I just needed help organizing the medicine room and there happened to be two lovely gentlemen available in the area to assist me.
(Stern, chiding) Stop it! I've had enough of this! Both of you need to sit down and cool off. You are family for God's sake. Act like it.
(Casual, informative) I've learned from raising a couple of stubborn, young men that you can stay resentful all your life and look back with many regrets, or you can swallow your pride and make things better. He's not perfect, but neither are you. You just have to learn to pick your battles, Nick. And in the meantime, you have nothing to worry about with Oliver. He'll come to learn what he needs to do.
Lucy is timid but friendly. She tries to be optimistic but struggles a lot with depression and anxiety from past trauma. She is empathetic, loving, and a good listener.
Vocal Type: Soprano
(Nervous, quiet) Are you Jack Boston? I’m sorry to bother you...I just...I need your help.
(Panicking, hysterical) I can’t breathe! I thought I was gonna die. I thought he was gonna kill me...What if he comes back?
(Teasing, casual) Hey! Stop that! I thought you were gonna quit smoking. You’re gonna get cancer or something.
Ches is poised and obsequious in his mannerisms. Because he poses no real threat at the beginning, he is only perceived as being suspected of having ulterior motives with no real proof. However, when pushed to the brink, Ches can display incredibly erratic and aggressive behavior.

(Hysterical, exuberant) Ha-Ha! It's a chaos demon! Look at that? Isn't it beautiful?!
(Calm, obsiquious) I am neither an enemy nor your friend. I am merely a casual observer. Carry on as if I am not here.
It all started with the astronaut. His name was Logan Joseph-Spade and the year was 1978. The mission was Apollo 18, and everything was going according to plan until it wasn’t. The launch was perfect and the crew’s hopes were high. It seemed like it would turn out to be a successful trip, but by chance, it had failed. Not only did it fail, but before the astronaut knew it, the stars outside the windows seemed to bend and a sudden and nauseating vertigo quickly pulled him into unconsciousness. His crewmates fell to the same phenomenon and when Logan woke up, he was alone. He wasn’t alone because he was the only person within his vicinity, but alone because he was the only one who had remained alive.
Jack is cynical and sarcastic. He is rude and aloof most of the time and almost lacks the capability to be polite because of his upbringing. He has deep-rooted trust issues and a very pessimistic outlook on life. Although he can be very cold, he has an affectionate compassion for the people he cares about and a selfless bravery that drives his ambition to better his and his friends’ lives. He has a passion for gardening and flowers and loves painting as well. He is neurotic and impulsive but tries his best not to lash out at the people he cares about. He has deep-seated trauma he has trouble dealing with and has a hard time opening up about his troubles to others.

(Frustrated, bitter) So you wanted to protect me? Right...And your idea of that was shipping me off to the middle of nowhere and hoping for the best? Well, I'll tell you what. It worked fantastically. I have never heard of a fairy tale quite like my own life.
(Nervous, rambling) Yeah, I had this flower shop. It was called Axil's Flowers. Y'know, like, named after...yeah...And it was pretty cool. I had a lot of cool flowers. And some other plants. But mostly flowers...
I stare at the boy. At first, I'm convinced he's dead. If he's really a tycoon, he took quite a fall. However, after a minute of looking over him, I notice his chest rising and falling. Surely, he's alive. And surely the Grid Guard is gonna be down here looking for him. If I were a real asshole, I could try and offer him up for ransom, but I'm not that kind of guy. After a moment of standing here, uncertain of what to do, I sigh and sit down. Lucy really put a burden on my shoulders. What the hell am I supposed to do with this richie? He's gonna wake up in a whole world of pain and I don't know how to deal with that. Especially since they got all those fancy machines up-city that cure everything. He's probably never known what it's like to feel a broken bone. Am I supposed to pity him or something?
Ava is calm-tempered, laid back and compassionate. She is loyal to her job and colleagues and has a good sense of leadership being a good role model for her subordinating officers. She is logical minded and is an excellent strategist being one of Fawkes’ most valuable task force assets as well as his long time friend. She has a tendency to bottle in all of her negative emotions, never letting on to what she’s really feeling. No one knows about her past and she likes to keep it that way. She’s empathetic and a good listener, but rarely lets anyone in on her personal life, even Eric, who she considers a good friend.

(Casual, advising) She sounds like a character, but I'm sure she has her reasons. I think Jakob's death was hard on both of you. It takes a while to relieve that kind of tension.
(Stern, chiding) Seth, you are not anyone's superior. You need to stand down and stop acting like anything other than a subordinate, which is what you are. Now, get out of my face.
(Soft, concerned) I really think you should go back and be with your parents until we get this figured out. It's dangerous here and I don't want you to carry that risk.
